YAY!
YOU’Re HERE!
Let me introduce myself, I’m Moriah and I always thought I'd be a wedding planner. I loved the idea of creating a day that people would remember for the rest of their lives! In 2018 I was in Las Vegas for a wedding industry conference when the mass shooting on the Strip happened. I'd lived a pretty sheltered life until then, and it was my first real look at how bad the world can be…it shook me.
The very next week, my family took a trip to Disney World. As I walked down Main Street, U.S.A. I felt exactly what Walt intended Magic Kingdom to be: a place so far removed from reality that it brings you back to your childlike joy. Somewhere on that trip, I decided I wanted to help other people find that feeling, especially when they're carrying something heavy.
I went to work for Disney (and I loved it!). I spent a little more than a year working in the parks until Covid-19 closed them. When my lease ran out and the parks were still closed, I moved home and went back to my first plan, weddings, which eventually led me to work remotely in social media marketing.
Remote work was lonely. I missed the connection and the feeling that I was making a difference in someone's day. When the right opportunity came along, I became a Disney travel expert. Helping families plan their vacations felt like making magic again.
Then I became a mom.
Being a mom is the best thing I've ever done. It's also where I lost track of myself for a while. A few months after my son was born, I was dropping him at daycare, working a corporate job, and seeing him for about three hours a day. Outside of being his mom, I couldn't tell you who I was anymore. I knew something had to change, but I didn't know what.
Then someone asked if I was still planning Disney trips. The idea for The Blueberry Blueprint had been growing in me since 2023, and I've been building it, one piece at a time, ever since.
Before I was a Disney Travel Expert or a course creator, I was a character attendant at Disney.
Character attendants are the Cast Members who help keep character meet-and-greets safe and running smoothly. We wore blue shirts covered in tiny blue Mickey heads that, from a distance, looked a lot like blueberries. So around the parks, we became known as the “Blueberries.”
The “Spoonful of” is a nod to Mary Poppins and the idea that a little bit of magic can make something easier to take in.
Put those two things together and you get Spoonful of Blueberry: a little bit of what I learned inside the parks, with the belief that planning a Disney trip shouldn’t feel like a second job.
Disney gets more complicated every year, and if you have little kids, you probably don’t have the time or energy to keep up with every new system, update, and “must-do.” I know the value of a good Disney Travel Expert because I was one for years. But there’s a limit to what anyone else can know about your trip.
They don’t know your kid’s nap schedule or what they’re obsessed with right now. They don’t know how long you’ve been saving or what would actually make a resort feel worth it to your family. And they can’t be there when your toddler melts down and the plan needs to change.
I helped families plan Disney trips and I loved every one of them. But I eventually realized I was always missing the most important part: I couldn’t know a family the way they know themselves.
So instead of planning your Disney trip for you, I want to teach you how to plan it yourself. You shouldn't have to watch a million videos or dig through forums to feel confident about where your money is going.
"Booking a trip to Disney was so much easier than I thought it would be, and my husband and I could focus on the fun parts and looking forward to the trip, rather than being stressed about the trip."

A spoonful of kind words!
Your trip should be built around your family, not around what everyone else is doing.
Understanding how things work comes before making decisions.
Being present matters more than being productive.
The magic is REAL! (and it’s easier to find when you’re not overwhelmed)
Planning your first Disney World trip with little ones? The Blueberry Blueprint walks you through how Disney works, so you can plan a trip that fits your family and feel confident in the decisions you make.
